Snack Day

Today is snack day and I am so excited (exclamation mark). Wednesday is always snack day b/c on Wednesday we don't go to the gym. Usually Mon, Tue, Thurs, and Fri, we go to the gym after we are done teaching (done at 6:30pm). So after 6:30 we exercise and then get home around 8ish and eat supper and go to bed.

But on SNACK DAY (being Wednesday)- we skip the gym and supper, and EAT chips, chocos, cake, sunflower seeds, dried fruit, and drink coke while watching a movie. Then on Thursday we both get to sleep in 'cause we don't have class 'till after lunch. That is snack day. Snack day is a good day. Snack Day deserves national attention. Snack Day is today.

Fahrenheit 86

It finally reached the temperature where fruit rots. In plastic bags, sitting on the counter, or in a solution of mild hydrochloric acid, the result is always the same. Flies congregate, dogs salivate and beggars smile.
But not me. Not this time.
Unwashed, fuzzy from nature and fuzzy from mold, tangy like citrus and DDT I will consume them.
Let my immune system be warned.

Me

8:25am - 6:25 pm in Canada
I'm making oatmeal, which is probably going to burn b/c I'm on the computer.
This morning is actually coolish, which most likely means that by 12 noon, it will be scorching hot out once again.
Hohhot is one big hot zone of late. The classrooms have no AC and barely a breeze runs through the open windows. The students (the teacher included) sweat through the lessons and look like they are going to collapse from the heat. I just went to stir the oats... a few more minutes and I will have my breakfast.
There is only one more week (after this one) of teaching... then we come to one last week of exams. I am excited to be done planning lessons and am surprised that there still are creative juices at work for the next week.
I just stirred the oats for a third time. They are getting close to being done.
I have my Oatmeal in front of me and am surprised that this blog entry is still on the computer (this computer has been known to crash frequently).
The yoghurt I put in my Oats, makes it so runny that I could almost drink it.
